The NuroChek (previously Concussionometer) team: won a place at the prestigious HCF Catalyst Slingshot Technology Accelerator at the start of 2017; has gone on to win government support through Jobs for NSW MVP program and the Global Connections Fund Bridging Grant; won Investible’s AngelPitch Masterclass; presented at TEDx Sydney as part of the St. George KickStart competition, TechCrunch Startup Battlefield Australia; and won the 2018 Everything IoT and iSino Global Entrepreneurship Competitions.

Headsafe is the concussion management program of charity NeckSafe, recognised by the Australian Charities and Not For Profit Commission (ACNC) with deductible gift recipient status.

HCF Catalyst is a 12-week accelerator program aimed at turning health tech businesses into long-term profitable ventures. The NuroChek (Concussionometer) was one of 10 tech businesses chosen in the 2017 accelerator program.

The Slingshot Accelerator program provides seed capital, a 12 week mentor-driven program and support to help startup succeed. Slingshot supplies large corporates with world-class innovation programs by providing programs that bring corporates together with small disruptive startups and entrepreneurs who are building innovative and potentially market changing technologies.

The St. George Bank Kick Start Grants Program returned to TEDxSydney for 2016, giving small and start-up businesses the chance to win a $40,000 grant to transform their businesses.

TEDxSydney is the annual gathering of Australia’s innovative community of thinkers and doers, coming together to showcase and exchange ideas that have the power to change the world.

iGlobal Sino-Australia Innovation and Entrepreneurship Comp – The first UNSW Torch Startup Competition is co-hosted by UNSW and Tsinghua University. Winners attended China’s annual national innovation and entrepreneurship conference and get support from Shanghai’s Yangpu district government and the UNSW team.

TechCrunch Battlefield Australia – The exposure that comes from pitching to the global TechCrunch audience as well as distinguished technologists, entrepreneurs, and investors live in Australia was a feature of this international competition.

Everything IoT –  The largest showcase of IoT start-ups in Australia, up to 20 companies had the opportunity to display, demo and present their innovations for the duration of the two-day Summit. 11 nominees were shortlisted to pitch their business ideas to the judging panel.

CeBIT –  The renowned PitchFest returned in 2018 to give ten CeBIT StartUp exhibitors the opportunity to pitch their product to an experienced panel of judges in front of a large audience of fellow start-ups, investors and potential customers.  Headsafe was a Finalist and popular audience choice for best pitch.
